Kate Blake is an executive coach and trusted advisor to founders and CEOs navigating the leadership challenges of building and scaling venture-backed technology companies. For nearly two decades she has worked alongside leaders across the Silicon Valley startup ecosystem, advising them through the leadership, strategic, and organizational challenges that emerge as companies scale.

Kate is often brought in during critical inflection points—when founders must evolve from exceptional operators into leaders capable of guiding larger organizations, making higher-stakes decisions, and building leadership teams that can scale the business. Her work focuses on executive decision-making, leadership presence, team alignment, and the interpersonal dynamics that often determine whether companies successfully navigate the transition from early traction to durable growth

She has advised founders and senior leaders at companies including SPARE, Simple Closure, Canyon Partners, Truebill, Everlywell, Taulia, Tesla, Salesforce, Sylvatex, Bloom Technologies, Lendable and Zoosk, along with dozens of venture-backed startups from seed through late-stage growth.

Known for her ability to combine strategic clarity with deep psychological insight, Kate helps founders surface the patterns—both personal and organizational—that often limit a company’s ability to scale. Her coaching integrates operational perspective with leadership development, helping founders strengthen their decision-making, develop their executive teams, and build organizations that no longer depend on the founder’s direct involvement.

Kate is trained through Landmark, the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). She holds a BA in Psychology from Boston College and a Master’s of Global Political Strategy from The University of California, San Diego. She is the creator of The 6X Project™Leadership Curriculum and the Founder’s Journey Framework, mapping the four roles founders must grow into as their companies evolve: Builder, Architect, Navigator, and Steward. She is fluent in Spanish.

In her spare time you will likely find Kate in some small corner of the world, trying new foods, learning more languages and feeding her quest for lifetime learning. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her standard poodle Fergus.
